爲了弄清楚“咖啡和葡萄酒到底誰更健康”，上週的時候，波士頓環球報(The Boston Globe)的記者Francis Storrs，在兩者之間進行了一場終極比較。</p>
<p>
“大部分人都無法想象，如果早上起來不喝上一杯咖啡，晚上睡覺不喝上一杯葡萄酒，這將會是怎樣的生活。”Storrs寫到：“幸運的是，有許多的研究表明，這兩種飲料都有益於我們的健康，但是到底哪種纔是最神奇有效的呢?下面讓我來一探究竟。”</p>

這次的對決細分成10個不同的方面來進行比較：卡路里、費用、總體消耗量、消耗量、對健康的有益程度、注意事項、 副作用等等。</p>

健康</p>

我們知道咖啡能夠降低患心臟病、中風、帕金森病(Parkinson's disease)、肺癌、膽結石和糖尿病的風險。葡萄酒的好處是能降低心臟疾病、糖尿病、充血性心力衰竭和中風的風險。但是相比而言，咖啡可能更具有抵抗帕金森病和肝癌的能力。</p>

消耗量</p>
<p>
這兩種飲料的消費呈現一邊倒的局勢，咖啡完殺葡萄酒。不過嗜酒狂們不用擔心，哈佛大學的健康專家Walter Willett也表示，雖然咖啡的健康風險比較少，但是他還是比較喜歡喝葡萄酒。</p>

咖啡中的咖啡因與人體大腦中的腺苷(adenosine，讓人容易打瞌睡的物質)有類似的化學結構。當我們喝咖啡時，咖啡因會與腺苷相結合，從而阻止了腺苷與大腦中的腺苷受體相結合，這樣我們就清醒了!然而，咖啡的飲用量越多，體內生成的腺苷就會多，以使人體達到一種平衡。</p>

葡萄酒</p>
<p>
葡萄酒中的酒精是一種能夠刺激人體部分大腦(通常是“原始大腦”，也叫丘腦)的一種化學物質。這部分大腦控制的通常是一些“簡單”的生理功能，如飢餓、體溫、恐懼、母性(指女性)以及性慾等。因此，如果你突然感覺餓了、出汗、無畏、想要得到身體上的關懷……那麼，有可能就是你喝酒了。當然，如果飲酒過量是不利於身體健康的，因爲酒精過量會阻礙人體的新陳代謝。</p>
<p>
目前的研究已經發現，適量飲用咖啡或葡萄酒有類似的健康功效，包括延長壽命、增加血流量、降低抑鬱等。而且咖啡和葡萄酒都含有大量抗氧化劑，有助於減少疾病的發生。</p>

最後，這場咖啡與葡萄酒的對決，經歷過10個回合的戰鬥後，最終以果斷支持咖啡而結束。當然，話又說回來，雖然咖啡可能含有更少的卡路里和更多的健康益處，但是我們會很難在睡覺前不喝上一杯美味的葡萄酒。</p>

但是，不容忽視的是，這兩種飲料都不是隻有抗氧化劑那麼簡單，咖啡因和酒精會帶給人愉悅感，要不然大家直接去喝蔬菜汁好了。所以問題的關鍵是怎麼喝才健康。</p>
<p>
哈佛大學的研究顯示，適量飲酒的人羣比不喝酒的人患心臟病的幾率低30-35%。另一項研究發現，喝含有咖啡因的咖啡有助於防止阿爾茨海默病的發生。</p>
<p>
事情向來都是兩面的。除了這些好處，它們的副作用也是不容忽視的。咖啡會加重胃反酸，會使有的人，特別是女性緊張和失眠。長期大量飲用咖啡還會使更年期婦女骨質疏鬆症加重。葡萄酒喝太多會使人體重增加，還會使人脫水——這就是宿醉的原因。</p>
<p>
研究也發現，酒精和咖啡因對人體的影響與個人的基因有關。每個人對酒精和咖啡因的新陳代謝速度不同，除非每個人都去做基因檢測，否則無法得知自己的最佳飲用量。所以，適量飲用就是保持健康的關鍵。如果你本身患有某些會受到咖啡因和酒精影響的疾病，那就不要喝。如果你正在服藥，而這些藥物和酒精或咖啡因有可能相互作用，那也不要喝。</p>
<p>
科學研究結果給大家的參考是：健康成年人每天攝入的咖啡因最好不超過400毫克，也就是2-4杯咖啡。孕婦要少於200毫克;兒童不能超過45-85毫克(一罐可口可樂大約含有35-40毫克咖啡因)。</p>
<p>
對於葡萄酒來說，如果你有患癌症的風險，最好遵醫囑。如果你是健康的成年人，專家建議女性每天不超過150毫升，男性不超過300毫升。你完全不必喝這麼多，可以留點空間喝咖啡。</p>
